We were lucky to be staying only a short distance from the Eiffel Tower in Paris so after arriving late on Tuesday we wondered down to see the iconic tower. Unfortunately we didn’t get to go up the tower as it the top was closed both times we attempted to so I will have to go back and go to the top.

Not realising how far away the Arc de Triomphe was from the Eiffel Tower we decided to walk but for me it was worth it to see parts of Paris I wouldn’t have seen otherwise.

Avenue Des Champs-Élysées is just in-front of the Arc de Triomphe with all the main shops from Designer to High Street; being a fashion capital you can see in this area that fashion is important. When in this area it is well worth wondering down the side streets where you will find more boutique shops. Do stop by Ladurée if you can, this beautiful tea room is famed for their macaroons.

After walking down Avenue Des Champs-Élysées we continued to the Musée du Louvre again not realising how far this walk actually was, however it was worth the walk to see the Jardin des Tuileries.
