Orla Kiely took us on safari with her SS14 collection. Models wore berets and emerged from a tiny wooden door carrying lanterns and jars filled with insects and then settled into the safari scene. They amused themselves around a campfire or read books and played cards. Schoolgirl socks were pulled up to the knee and worn with patent sandals in bold yellows and oranges. Zebras were printed on cotton T-shirs and dresses, while delicate pieces of the collection were of white silk overlays featuring navy embroidered rhinos. Bags were binocular-shaped with gold clasps in pink and yellow, there where also panda and fox head-shaped bags and mini purses on a chain which surely the kids will fall for.
