Berlin is famous for the Berlin Wall which separated the West and East of the city as well as the Holocaust Mahnmal (Holocaust Memorial) and the Brandenburg Gate. 

Checkpoint Charlie is one of the many checkpoints that formed part of the Berlin Wall and this one still stands – it is the US Army Checkpoint.

The image to the left gives you an idea of how big the wall actually was.

Artists have now been given the opportunity put their stamp on parts of the wall that still remain.
